Our vendor acquired the car in 2017 and set about having a later and more powerful Rover V8 fitted.

Once a new V8 was sourced, it was completely stripped and carefully rebuilt, including Warrior spec porting, large valves, competition head gaskets and head studs, new pistons, bearings and new double valve springs.

Originally fitted with EFI, our vendor opted to fit an Edelbrock Performer carburettor and manifold, dyno’d with a printout showing 261bhp and 272lb-ft of torque.

All engine work was carried out by V8 Developments.

The engine was fitted when the odometer was reading 102,863 miles - the car has only covered some 1,200 miles on its new power plant.
