AI Listing Summary

This 1960s Jaguar E-Type Series 2 FHC, with only 20,000 miles, has been in single-family ownership for 50 years. It features some cosmetic imperfections like microblistering and bubbling, but retains its original components and low mileage, making it a potentially valuable find for collectors.

Condition

6

The car has been garage stored for most of its life, leading to microblistering on the roof and bubbling on the bonnet. The driver door hinges show wear, and the underbonnet area could use detailing. However, there's no serious corrosion, the interior is mostly good, and the mileage is believed to be correct due to the car's limited use.

It was fired up regularly, but was to tot up fewer than 1,000 miles over the next 50 years.

In fact it was not taxed or MOT'd for so long that its registration number lapsed, the vendor's late-husband reclaiming its original number KEK 965J from the DVLA in 1998 hence this is now non-transferable.

The DVLA didn't pick up its first owner from the original buff logbook on file - the V5C showing just the v...
