This last-of-the-line MkV Cortina Estate was first registered on 31st October 1979.
Effectively a MkIV with a new body and revised dash, the MkV was released with a promise from Ford that it had far better rust proofing than previous models, as well as coming with further diversity in engine ranges promising better fuel economy and more power.
Coming from the factory with the trusted 1.6-litre engine, this Cortina puts its 68bhp to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission and has been running and driving nicely on site.
This rare survivor presents itself in very honest condition and all seems sound mechanically, pulling well through the gears and being driven to the sale by the vendor.
