Description Nice conversion; restored in 1992 with much attention since; mountains of invoices; well documented history First registered in 1972, this nicely presented Beetle was imported from Germany to the UK in 1990, presumably having undergone its 'Cabriolet' conversion before it came over.
According to the paperwork, there was just one lady owner in Frankfurt before it was offered for sale in the UK by Claymore Cars and sold in May 1991.
In 1992 the Beetle was restored along with a full respray and replacement panels and sills by Kingfisher Kustoms in Warley, presumably this was when the right-hand drive conversion also took place.
A change of ownership is recorded in January 2008, the Beetle coming from its 10-year plus ownership into the hands of Mrs Henson, who owned the car for the next 4 years, taking it to car shows and on holidays to Devon and Cornwall.
