Description Tidy SII from 12-year ownership; extensively refurbished in 2016 with new rear cross member, engine and gearbox rebuild, fitment of O/D, Exmoor Trim canvas top and seats; regularly used since Built in July 1960 and first registered in January 1961, this lovely Land Rover Series II has remained a UK model, Home Market spec truck, fitted with the venerable 2.2 litre four-cylinder petrol engine finished in Bronze Green and was supplied new by London by Henly’s of London, according to the BMI Heritage Certificate on file.
Our vendor has enjoyed the truck since purchase in February 2011 during which time he has gently restored it and used it regularly.
Works undertaken by our vendor between 2011 and 2016 include a strip-down to chassis and bulkhead, then soda blasted.
A new rear cross member was fitted along with an outrigger with the whole structure painted with Jawel 2k anti-corrosion paint.
The bulkhead was also repaired and protected along with the axles.
