Description Four owners from new, the current since 2009; only 51,200 miles indicated; for restoration following 15 years in storage; engine turns 1986 was the year Land Rover memorably ran an advertising campaign showing a Defender 90 V8 performing what seemed like the impossible feat of climbing a Welsh dam almost vertically.

‘The Best 4x4 by far’ said the slogan… Supplied new by Kennings of Shrewsbury in May 1986, this Defender 90 V8 has had just four owners from new and has been in the current ownership since 2009.

It has covered 51,800 miles to date, the service book showing six stamps, the first by Kennings and the next five by Cross Country Vehicles Ltd in Witney, Oxfordshire, up to 1998 when it showed 27,127 miles.

The MOT history online shows the mileage rising to 51,189 by May 2008 and it was put into a barn shortly afterwards where it has remained ever since.
