He had been looking for a basis on which to build his own take on a '30s sports car, subsequently spending countless enjoyable hours producing a car to his own design.

The bodywork was thrown away and a glass fibre/aluminium unit was made on the VW chassis along the lines of a pre-war MG.

A set of glass-fibre MG TF wings were acquired, the look of the car being finished off with an Armstrong Siddeley grille cleverly incorporated at the front.

The windscreen is MG and the car has stainless bumpers, sports seats, side screens and a hood and tonneau cover.

The brakes have been upgraded with BMW discs and capilers up front, while the clutch has been converted to hydraulics and an independent rear suspension system modified and installed.
