Vehicle Details
AI Listing Summary
This is a rare Mk I Transit van that was previously a camper but has been converted back to its original van specification. It features a 1,600cc Kent engine, replacing the original troublesome V4, and has seen recent work including a service, new water pump, alternator, battery, exhaust section, valence, headlamps, bezels and tyres.

Condition
5
The vehicle is described as being in running and driving condition, but with some cosmetic issues. The paintwork is not as sharp as it might be, and there are some other cosmetic jobs to sort. However, it is a sound enough starting point to be well worthwhile.

This one was converted into a camper, but recent owners have taken it back to its original van spec and at some point, replaced the old V4 with a 1,600cc Kent engine.
Another reason for the Transit's poor survival rate was the unruly V4, which had reliability issues from the outset and so this engine change can be seen as a good thing.
The engine has seen some recent work, including a service, new water pump and alternator, a recent battery and rear exhaust section have also been added along with a new rear valence, headlamps and bezels and four new tyres - it was also driven some 60 miles to the sale.
Included in the file are some bills and invoices for the parts used.
