An Austin Mini Basic saloon, it must have been a driving revelation after the Anglia, but she didn't use it much, selling it to its new owner in 1994 confirming the mileage at that time as 16,597 miles in a letter from her on file.

In 1999, the car was sent to Tim Whyatt in Colchester and he stripped the car to the bare shell, 'replaced rusty panels as required' and resprayed the car in green.

He also fitted an unleaded cylinder head.

The bill for this was £3,800.

Since then, the car has barely turned a wheel, our vendor (its third owner) purchasing the car in 2019 and adding virtually no miles.
