In this case, the action has all happened within the last 25 years, for that is when this car came to life.
Based upon a Julian Ghosh-produced 30-98 chassis, it was assembled using a variety of Vauxhall parts, mainly from 23-60 Vauxhalls, although when it first appeared in the late 1990s, it was fitted with a Stutz Bearcat engine.
On paper, the Stutz engine should provide significant power, with five-litres and four valves per cylinder.
In practice, they were good, but didn't offer anything over and above the 'SuperExcellent' four-cylinder Vauxhall engine - which soon suplanted it in this installation.
The differences in the mechanics between a 23-60 and a 30-98 are subtle, so this example is convicing and has been built very close to 30-98 spec.
