Nothing is known of the car’s early history but a plaque on the dash suggests that it was supplied new via Ingram Sandle & Co of Upper Tollington Park in London.

It subsequently found its way to South Africa, correspondence and photos on file showing that it spent over 20 years on display at a motor museum in Johannesburg, the high altitude and dry air accounting for the remarkable state of preservation today.

Imported back to the UK in 1999 and registered here as 351 UXN in 2005, it was recommissioned and fully serviced by Auto-Kare of Hayling Island in 2006 with various new parts fitted.
