It was the baby Seven that had saved the company from bankrupcy, but the trusty 12 continued right through, gaining in popularity thanks to the comprehensive range on offer and Austin's fine reputation for reliabilty - 'The Dependable Austin' no less.
This one has been in the hands of the current keeper for the last 10 years but comes with little in the way of history.
It retains its nice original features, including the carriage door handles, luggage carrier and hood and sidescreens.
A suppliers plate shows it was sold at one point through a dealer in Dungannon in Northern Ireland, the car starting instantly and sounding very sweet as we moved it around onsite.
