AI Listing Summary
This 1985 Daimler Double Six S3 is presented in Cobalt Blue with a tan interior. Recent maintenance includes new tires, brakes, radiator, and battery, but a gearbox fault is present. Sold at no reserve, this car requires transmission work but offers the potential to experience a classic luxury vehicle.

Condition

The car has had some recent service work done, including new tires, rear brake discs, a radiator, and a battery. However, it also has a gearbox fault that needs attention. The car has been starting instantly and running almost silently, with good oil pressure. Cosmetically, it looks attractive in Cobalt Blue with a tan hide interior, but there is very little history with the car.

An upmarket Daimler Double Six version was also available with more luxurious trim and improved sound-deadening.
The Series 3 version ran from 1979 – 1992 and was far better built than the preceding S2, the styling also being subtly modernised by Pininfarina and the V12 gaining Bosch fuel injection.
The ride quality and sheer silence of the Double Six are still as impressive today as they were at launch 50 years ago.
