Condition

4

The car is described as a 'great project' with 'good panel work' and a 'surprisingly complete' interior, suggesting it's not in perfect condition but has a solid base to work from. The need for reconditioning and potential for engine/gearbox upgrades further indicates it's not in top-tier condition.

Description Great project with good panel work and most of the interior; surprisingly complete; the perfect electric conversion?? First registered OHU 265 on 16th October 1951, this car was originally Bottle Green.

It was a Bristol Aircraft Company demonstrator and was originally supplied with engine 85C 1914 which was later upgraded to BS1A 115.

It was retained by the factory as a gearbox test-bed and when fitted with the BS engine, used for sprints and hillclimbs.

It was sold to Dudley Rylett in around 1970, and passed to Brian by Dudley's son-in-law.

We don't hold any paperwork for this vehicle, although the registration number OHU 265 is still recognised on the DVLA database so its new owner should be able to apply for a replacement V5C in the usual way.
