1929 Humber 9/28 Super, well patinated Light Car; recent engine overhaul with new rings; lots of history; oily rag delight Purchased from Brightwells several years ago, its previous owner had acquired the car back in 2016.

He spent four years improving it, keeping the car as original as possible without affecting the patina and external appearance which is so appealing in an 'oily rag' way.

The chassis received plenty of care and attention, including a comprehensive rear axle overhaul.

This included a new diff carrier and replacement crown wheel and pinion, using the slightly higher ratio from a 9/20 model.

He also fitted a new prop shaft.

The front axle was treated to new king pins, the dampers rebuilt and four new tyres fitted - bringing the rolling aspects of the car up to scratch.

The bodywork needed a few jobs, including attention to a few areas of the wood frame which were replaced with ash.
