AI Listing Summary

This 1969 Triumph TR6, originally built for the US market, boasts a rust-free body and chassis. While it requires a potential RHD conversion (with readily available kits) and some aesthetic improvements, its overall tidy condition and included roll-hoop make it a worthwhile project at the suggested guide price.

Condition

7

The car is described as having a rust-free body and chassis, and being in overall tidy condition. While it's not perfect (as it came with unprepossessing steel rims), it has been fitted with more appropriate Minilite-style wheels, suggesting some attention to aesthetics. The seller intended to convert it to RHD, indicating it's not in pristine condition, but overall it seems well-maintained and a good candidate for further improvement.

1969 Triumph TR6 Sound US import: UK registered: excellent potential for conversion to RHD The Heritage Certificate confirms this November 1969 TR6 was built for the North American market, was painted Jasmine with a tan interior and was originally fitted with wire wheels and Michelin tyres.

As is often the case, its life in the States is not documented, but the vendor was attracted by the rust-free nature of the body and chassis and overal tidy condition of the car.

Although delivered from new with wire wheels, the car came back home in 2021 fitted with an unpreposessing set of steel rims which the vendor exchanged for a more appropriate set of Minilite-style wheels.

He used it sparingly and has sadly lost his storage hence the reason it is offered for sale.

He had always intended to convert it to RHD, but soon found its LHD steering caused few problems.

A look online shows a basic conversion kit costs around £1,150 inc VAT so it can't be too difficult should the new owner choose ...
