1984 Mercedes-Benz 230E (W123) One-family-owned from new and in remarkable order throughout; only 72,600 miles; driven 70 miles to the sale; on the button manual example of this appreciating classic Considered to be one of the most successful selling Mercedes ever, the venerable and hardy W123 series sold more than 2.7 million units during its ten year lifetime before production ended in 1986.

This corking August 1984 example was supplied by Nayland Motors of Swansea and comes to us in 230E form, finished in silver-blue metallic, and sits upon its original optional 14” Mexican hat alloy wheels and has been in sole family ownership since new with just three owners – Husband, wife then son-in-law.

Under the bonnet we find the M102 E23 2.3 litre fuel injected (hence the E in the model identity) four-cylinder petrol engine which develops 134bhp and 205NM of torque driving the rear wheels via five-speed manual transmission – enough for a sprint to 60mph in c.11 seconds and onto a top spee...
