1949 Bentley Mk VI manual Refurbished rear axle and new clutch within 10 years; two owners since 1978 First registered in 1949, this 4 1/4 litre Mk VI has been family owned since 2005, its previous owner taking it on in 1978.

We have no history of the car prior to this, although it comes with its original handbook, two factory workshop manuals, spares catalogue and bills dated post 2005.

In 2012, Flying Spares supplied a reconditioned/exchange clutch and we are told of a rear axle overhaul around then although cannot see any bills relating to this on file.

As one can see, it is in original and unrestored condition, with signs of corrosion in the usual Mk VI places.

It has clearly been well used, but has been running and driving while onsite and comes with a very realistic estimate reflecting the condition of the bodywork and paint.

Its most recent MOT was in 2012, with several earlier test certificates giving a confusing story on mileage so we cannot confirm what its total mileage...
