1992 Mercedes-Benz 300SL-24 Rarer, 24-valve 231bhp variant of the 300 with factory hard-top showing 93,439 miles; scope to improve Dating from August 1992, this Mercedes 300SL-24 is the rarer multi-valve version, produced for only 3 or so years.
It was replaced by the SL320 in 1994.
Under the bonnet of this attractive (and rare to find) red example, we find a high-revving naturally aspirated 3.0-litre M104 DOHC 24-valve straight-six engine which develops 228bhp at 6,300 rpm (compared to the ‘standard’ 12-valve SOHC 300SL which made 188bhp at 5,700rpm).
