AI Listing Summary

This 1972 Audi 100S Coupe, finished in red with a black interior, has 77,045 miles on the clock and a manual gearbox. While it benefits from a rebuilt engine and gearbox, and a solid mechanical foundation, the paintwork requires attention due to micro blistering and other cosmetic issues. It also features an upgraded stereo and comes with spare parts, a car cover, and a sliding steel sunroof needing some repair.

Condition

The car has some cosmetic issues, such as micro blistering in the paint, scratches, crazing, and a bonnet that is a slightly different shade. There's also a small rust bubble on the sunroof surround, and the passenger door can be recalcitrant. However, the seats are in great condition, and mechanically, the engine and gearbox have been rebuilt, with brakes overhauled and a new exhaust fitted. The underside appears solid with plenty of underseal.

Before this was done, the previous owner had sourced original replacement body panels from Germany.

Copies of the receipts are in the history file.

Whilst the car still looks very smart from a distance, it is clear that there are now some areas of micro blistering which may need addressing.

Our extensive photographs show this in detail.

In addition, there are some scratches and minor crazing in places.

There is also a small rust bubble on the sunroof surround.

We must also report that the car’s bonnet is a slightly different shade to the rest of the panels, some of which have a somewhat flat finish, and the passenger door can be ...
