AI Listing Summary

This 1981 Alfa Romeo GTV 2.0 is a LHD manual model with 60,810 kms, believed to have been in Italy until 2015 and in Belgium since. While the car is original and authentic, it presents with some bodywork issues like bubbling and rust, and the interior needs a thorough clean. Despite lacking service records, its underlying integrity makes it a worthwhile project.

Condition

5

The car has some bodywork issues, including bubbling in several places and rust. The interior needs cleaning, and the carpets are worn. However, the engine and engine bay are clean, and most mechanical components appear functional. Undersides show some rust but decent structural integrity. Overall, it is in unrestored, original condition, requiring work to bring it back to top condition.

First introduced in 1972, the Alfetta family was extended in 1974 with the arrival of a Giorgetto Giugiaro-styled coupé, the 1.8-litre GT, which was followed by the GT 1.6 and GTV 2.0.

The latter's larger motor produced 122bhp – good enough for a top speed of 194km/h (120mph).

In 1980, the GT received a restyling that featured new tail lights, bumpers, C-pillar vents and side skirts.

The 1.6-litre version stopped production and the Alfetta GTV was re-named as the Alfa Romeo GTV 2.0.

Later that year, the GTV 6 2.5 was released, featuring a SOHC V6 2.5 L engine from the Alfa Romeo Alfa 6 luxury saloon.

A comfortable and capable Gran Turismo, the GTV 2.0 remained in production until 1987.

This 1981 LHD manual Alfa Romeo GTV 2.0 was, we think, living in Italy until 2015 and has resided in Belgium since then.

The odometer reads 60,810 kms.

The car comes with no history or service records beyond whatever documentation is shown in the gallery.

It is very original and authentic inside...
