Condition

7

The car is described as being in very good overall condition, and the interior is in equally good condition. The paintwork is mainly bright and shiny, and the Park Ward coach-built bodywork looks to have no dinks, dents, creases or folds of significance that we can see. The chrome work, lights, lenses and badging are all as they should be, save for a few scratches to the chrome on the rear bumper. There are some paint chips on the bonnet and smaller ones on the leading edges of the doors and around the wheel arches, and a scratch on the passenger-side front wheel arch, some scuffs to the front wing on the same side and a crack in the paint on the rear passenger-side wheel arch. While rust is not really in evidence on the bodywork, there is some blistering visible in the gutter above the driver’s window. The rubber trim is a little cracked and scruffy in places. The interior of the car is in equally good condition and has a warmly inviting patina in keeping with its age. The beige leather upholstery is creased but not cracked or split as far as we can see. The wood veneers are rich and glossy throughout, although the veneer insert on the driver’s door is coming away. The seats, front and back, look to be in decent condition. The door cards are in good order, as are the carpets and mats. The carpet on the transmission tunnel is stained and needs cleaning. The headlining is also discoloured and stained in places. The driver’s door armrest looks rather worn. The gear lever gaiter is loose. The boot seems to be OK although some carpeting is missing and the underlying wooden structure is exposed.
