198.9ci Overhead Valve Inline Six-Cylinder Engine Schebler L-1 Updraft Carburetor 45bhp at 2,200rpm [22.6 SAE hp] Three-Speed Manual Transmission Live Axles with Semi-Elliptical Leaf Springs Rear Wheel Contracting Band Mechanical Drum Brakes * OHV six-cylinder 45hp power * Handsomely equipped * A thoughtful older restoration * Preserved, complete and readily recommissioned THE CAR OFFERED The Grant company started out building a "natty" 12hp four-cylinder "miniature motor car" in 1913.

Its backers soon realized that in 1913 a $495 miniature motor car was no competition for Henry Ford's Model T and its counterparts.

They regrouped, moved to Findlay, Ohio and in 1916 came out with a 6-cylinder 20hp full size car by now based in a new Cleveland, Ohio factory.

War work kept Grant going during WWI and the new Model H in 1919 promised postwar success.

The 1920-21 recession proved to be Grant's undoing, however and the 1921 45hp Model HX was not able to rescue Grant from liquidation in 19...
