AI Listing Summary

This 1936 DeSoto Custom Airstream S-1 Taxicab is a rare survivor of a large commercial fleet order, featuring unique 'Sunshine' roof and extensive taxicab equipment. Though it underwent a cosmetic restoration in 1974 and presents attractively, it requires significant recommissioning due to missing components and a drained fuel/coolant system.

Condition

The car is described as having an older cosmetic restoration from 1974. While paint, chrome, upholstery, and interior trim are noted as 'good', the gauge lenses are foggy. Importantly, the heater and engine air cleaner are missing, and the vehicle is believed to have been drained of fuel and coolant, requiring comprehensive recommissioning. These factors indicate noticeable wear and the need for moderate reconditioning.
