Chassis number 'AMG2018924' represents one of the earliest and most important products of Mercedes-Benz's dominant touring car programme of the early 1990s.

Developed at the height of the fiercely contested DTM 'arms race', the Evolution II was conceived as the ultimate homologated derivative of the W201-series 190E.

Building upon the earlier Evolution I, the Evo II featured dramatically enhanced aerodynamics, increased engine output and further chassis refinements, all in pursuit of outright circuit supremacy.
