Mal-Voy, then president of the Volkswagen Club Belgium, aspired to competition and did not hesitate to support potential future talents.

With the rapprochement between Volkswagen and Audi during the 1970s, Mr Mal-Voy had the intuition that the four-ringed marque would achieve great things in motorsport.

Especially as, at the time, the Quattro project was already circulating as a rumour and was becoming increasingly serious.

The Ur Quattro was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1980, and J.G.

Mal-Voy founded the Belgian Audi Club.

Very quickly, the Quattro proved successful, its performance was of a very high level and enthusiasm for the four-ringed marque grew rapidly.
