• First registered to the Jowett Car Co • Known ownership history • Present ownership since 1966 • Professionally restored in Switzerland circa 1993 • Requires recommissioning This Jowett Jupiter was registered new in the UK as 'JAK 592' on 1st December 1952, at which time it was painted British Racing Green.

The Jupiter was first registered to the Jowett Car Co and then to one Leonard Chambers of Surrey in January 1953.

From June 1961 it was owned by one J Batt of London, and from 24th October 1962 by Richard Hamlett of Reading, Berkshire.

On 3rd October 1966 Mr Hamlett sold the Jowett to Mr Strinati, who imported it into Switzerland.

Mr Strinati paid CHF 3,000 (purchase receipt on file).

Mr Strinati had owned a new 1951 Jupiter with unique Ghia coachwork, given to him by his father.

Information on how to maintain those cars was scarce, so he sold the Jupiter but later regretted it, hence his acquisition of this example (the unique Ghia was undoubtedly destroyed).
