• Replica of SS Cars Ltd's experimental sports car of 1935 • Constructed in Australia • Based on factory engineering drawings • 3.5-litre Jaguar OHV engine • Present ownership since 2005 Offered here is a replica of SS Cars Ltd's experimental sports car of 1935: the SS90 prototype.

Mr Gordon Doering of Olinda in Victoria, Australia supervised the building of this vehicle between 1985 and 1995.

Upon completion he used it very successfully in club sprints and hill climb events in Victoria.

All work has been based on factory engineering drawings.

Comparison of this Doering car with photographs of the original prototype, which for many years has been garaged in Switzerland, supports the accuracy of this reproduction.

Finished in dark green with beige trim, the car is built on an original SS1 chassis and features SS100 rod brakes and a Jaguar 3.5-litre overhead-valve engine coupled to a Moss gearbox.

Coachwork is aluminium on a timber frame, with original SS90/100 fittings throughout....
