Kremer Racing offered a conversion, as did the factory's own Customer Department from 1981, becoming an official option in 1986.

An ultra-rare variant of an already exclusive model, this 'flat-nose' was delivered new in the USA on 11th July 1987 by Valley Motors Inc of Cockeysville, Maryland, who serviced the Porsche up to the end of the 1990s.

The car was subsequently registered in the UK (as 'E409 MPV'), as evidenced by the 2011-2012 MoT certificate on file.
