Costing a mere $395, the Saxon was remarkably well appointed, with a 4-cylinder water-cooled engine, shaft drive, and a selective 2-speed transmission (later a 3-speed) all at the cost of a cyclecar.

Its blend of aesthetics, performance, and affordability catapulted the Saxon into immediate popularity.
