Swiss motor dealer Lukas Huni acquired the Daimler in 2005 from 'a large private classic car collection in Italy, where the car spent most of its time'.
Huni sold the car to the previous owner, a Chinese businessman, who shipped it from Switzerland to Hong Kong.
The car remained in HK for several years and there are numerous receipts on file from this period amounting to over $20,000, plus photographs of the Daimler at a Hong Kong car show.
In 2012 the previous owner shipped the car to the UK where it remained in storage for eight years.
Our vendor purchased the Daimler in 2020 and has used it for car for shows and events, including 700-mile round trips to Le Mans Classic in 2022 and 2023.
