A 12-valve design initially, the 3-litre V6 engine gained four valves per cylinder in the early 1990s, and this superior variant was used to power the 164's ultimate incarnation, the Q4.
A specially designed undercarriage was used for the Q4, lowered with adjustable sport suspension and wider track width.
