The 1921 race was no exception: Grand Prix thoroughbreds, modified tourers and voiturettes all made the start, with victory eventually going to Count Giulio Masetti's Grand Prix FIAT.

The Count enjoyed no easy victory though, for Max Sailer's Mercedes 28/95 led at the end of lap one and set fastest lap on its way to 2nd overall and victory in the production car class.
