The car was first registered in Italy on 23rd June 1970 with the registration GE 432015 and comes with a photocopy of the original registration document.
The Estratto shows four subsequent owners, including the first Mr Sergio Pierlini who sold the car after only a month with the declared purchase price of 900,000 Lire, the original list price of the rare 695SS Assetto Corse In 1973 the car passes to Mr Roberto Maffei, a motorsport enthusiast based in Sicily who decided to replace the original engine for something more highly tuned.
He instructed the locally renowned Enzo Barbagallo to undertake the work.
Mr Maffei kept the car until 2010 before selling to another local collector in Catania.
