Originally the target bhp/ton power-to-weight ratio, '340' ended up being the total production of this exclusive and exciting car.

Even more Spartan than the Elise, the 340R has no roof, doors, windows or heating (all omitted to save weight) while the narrowed body has carbon-fibre cycle wings instead of the real thing.
