AI Listing Summary

This is a 1967 Lamborghini 400GT 2+2, one of only 247 built, with coachwork by Carrozzeria Touring. It has been under present ownership since 2008 but has been stored since acquisition and will require re-commissioning before it can be driven. Accompanied by copies of the bill of sale and a cancelled Belgian registration document, it represents a rare opportunity to acquire a classic Lamborghini, though it will require some work to bring it back to its former glory.

Condition

5

The car has been stored since 2008 and requires re-commissioning, indicating it is not in perfect running condition and may have some mechanical issues due to storage. Cosmetically, the description does not detail the extent of wear and tear, but the need for re-commissioning suggests that some aspects of the car will need attention. Based on this, a 'Good' to 'Above Average' rating seems appropriate, but without a detailed inspection, it's hard to rate it higher.

Lamborghini's first production car, the Touring-styled 350GT, debuted at the 1964 Geneva Motor Show.

The work of two of Italy's most illustrious automobile designers, the 350GT featured a glorious 3.5-litre, four-cam V12 designed by Giotto Bizzarrini, housed in a chassis penned by Gianpaolo Dallara.

The 350GT's four camshafts and all-independent suspension meant that it upstaged the best that Ferrari offered at the time; but to compete with his Maranello rival's larger models, Lamborghini needed a four-seater, and the 400GT ...
