AI Listing Summary

This 1912 Packard Model 30 Toy Tonneau, offered from the Gail and Howard Schaevitz collection, is believed to be the last Model 30 produced. Originally owned by the Detroit Fire Department, it was later rescued by a famed collector and restored in the style of Holbrook's Toy Tonneau bodies. The car has been used for tours and shown at concours events, and remains in presentable order.

Condition

7

The car was restored over two decades ago and has been used for touring, including a transcontinental reliability tour. While it remains in extremely presentable order and was recently found to be 'on the button' and driving nicely, its age and use suggest that it is not in pristine condition. The listing mentions refinements and replacement of cylinder jugs, indicating that some reconditioning has been performed. It appears to be in very good condition, with any wear being slight and not prominently affecting its overall appearance or functionality.

With 5" bore and a long 5 1/2" stroke, the Model 30 was a strong, powerful 432 cubic inch engine adapted by Packard's designers to power the larger and more elaborate coachwork which its customers were increasingly specifying.
