This 1928 Bugatti Type 40 Torpedo Sports is described as a highly original and correct example with matching numbers throughout. It has been under current ownership for 20 years and enthusiastically campaigned internationally. The car retains all its original major Molsheim components and comes with a comprehensive historical report. Recent maintenance includes a complete engine rebuild (2003-2005) and top-end refresh (2015). While the car shows signs of use from its extensive rally history, the consistent maintenance and originality suggest it is in very good condition, with only minor reconditioning potentially needed.
