He is uniquely well-placed, as winner of multiple World Championship Grand Prix and major-league Sports Car races, to judge the quality of such classical competition cars as the Porsche RS-60/61 series.
He describes these nimble little, streamlined-bodied German-silver jewels as having been "Just super cars – beautifully balanced and simply tailor-made for such races as the mighty Targa Florio around 440 miles of Sicilian mountain roads.
