La voiture ne resta pas très longtemps en Italie, le prochain changement de propriété connu intervenant le 2 février 1973 date à laquelle elle fut immatriculée par un négociant de Vienne, Autriche, pays où elle demeura immatriculée depuis cette date.
Le négociant céda la Ghibli le 3 août 1973 à son nouveau propriétaire qui la conserva jusqu'au 5 juin 1978.
Le suivant la garda jusqu'au 22 mars 1979, tandis que le propriétaire suivant l'immatriculait du 20 novembre 1981 au 16 décembre 1983.
La Ghibli resta ensuite stockée pendant huit ans par ce dernier qui commença une restauration en 1991.
Celle-ci entreprise par les ateliers Straight Eight and Vintage & Sports Cars en Autriche dura longtemps pour s'achever en 2008.
