AI Listing Summary
This is a 1953 Kurtis-Kraft 500S Sports-Racer 'continuation' car, built around 1990 by Jon Ward using chassis frames constructed on the original jigs by Frank Kurtis' son, Arlen. It features a modern Chevrolet V8 engine and has a successful racing history, including participation in the Grand Prix Historique de Tunis and Coppa Monza Intereuropa. The car comes with copies of FIA papers, Austrian registration and has some documentation issues.

Condition

The car is a 'continuation' model built around 1990, not an original 1953 model. It has been actively raced in various historic events, indicating regular use and potential wear. While it has had some parts replaced (gearbox, rear axle) and achieved good results in racing, the listing mentions 'old' US Certificate of Title and copies of FIA/Austrian papers, suggesting some documentation issues. Saleroom notices point out that the car has been upgraded with modern components, which may affect its originality and value as a classic.
