The car underwent a high-quality restoration by Gene Ponder, including a color change and sourcing correct Borrani wheels at a significant cost. It was later acquired by Mr. Oldenburg, who fitted hydraulic brakes for improved stopping. The car is described as having a "jewel-like quality" and remains among the most collectible of all MG cars.
