AI Listing Summary
This 1953 AC 2-Litre Saloon, with only two owners from new, is a rare find, especially as one of only two dozen four-door models made. It presents a 'challenging but potentially most rewarding restoration project,' having been laid up since 2004, making it ideal for enthusiasts willing to invest time and effort.

The car is described as being 'offered for restoration and sold strictly as viewed'. It was laid up in 2004, though the engine was started as recently as 2010. There are mentions of repairs needed to the ash body frame, indicating that while the car has potential, it requires significant work to bring it back to a good condition.

A variety of body styles - some coachbuilt - was available on the 2-Litre chassis, including a four-door model from late 1952.
Production continued, latterly alongside the Ace sports car and to special order only, until 1958, by which time approximately 1,200 2-Litre models had been produced.
This example of the four-door version, only some two dozen of which were made, was purchased new by Dr Brian Lawn of Barnes, West London, who used it ...
