Entre la société Hispano-Suiza française et la société Hispano-Suiza espagnole, la collaboration est continue.

Les projets des uns sont proposés aux autres, et ce dans les deux sens.

Lorsque Hispano-Suiza France présente le type H6C sur le marché français, l'Espagne décide presque aussitôt de la produire de son côté pour le marché espagnol sous l'appellation T56 46CV.

La production du type T56 débuta en 1929 et cessa en 1940.

Le type 56 est très similaire aux 46 CV produites en France, mais qui disposaient d'un empattement rallongé de 200 mm et porté à 3,80 m.

Durant ces onze années, il n'en fut commercialisé qu'environ deux cent exemplaires.

Notre exemplaire porte le numéro de châssis 341-6800.

Il fut livré en châssis-moteur dans le courant de l'année 1935 au carrossier Baltasar Fiol, installé à Barcelone en Catalogne.

Celui-ci fut l'un des carrossiers espagnols les plus réputés.

Il oeuvrait sur les châssis de nombreuses marques prestigieuses comme Rolls-Royce, Dodge, Cadilla...
