This fully authenticated Porsche ‘Carrera 6’ as the model was popularly known in period, was the very first of the world-famous Stuttgart factory’s Typ 906 series production examples.

Former works Competition Director Jurgen Barth has written as follows of this car: “At the time I was in my last year of apprenticeship in the Porsche firm, and I had the opportunity to work on this car.

The car was destined for Mike de Udy from England, who was not unfamiliar to Porsche, because he had already bought a Typ 904 before the Typ 906.
