Nicknamed "The Dark Knight," this 1967 Ford Mustang Eleanor Widebody Replica with a factory fastback body (not a fastback conversion) was built by Ron Hentschel of Ironic Manufacturing & Design, the original designer and engineer of the wedged-out widebody.

Work includes internal structure reinforcement, rockers widened, doors extended out, rear quarter-panels wedged outward and taillight panel stretched, pushing out the taillights to keep with the factory lines.

This design takes weeks of hands-on metal fabrication wedging out the rear of the car by 7 inches.

The next modification was to integrate a chassis that would work with a unibody design and made to house a Coyote V8 bringing the Mustang design up to date for a modern engine and suspension.
