This two-owner 2008 Ford Shelby GT500KR bears CSM 08KR0000 and is the first of just 1,011 "King of the Road" models built in 2008.

One of just 328 produced that year in Ebony Black with Satin Ebony racing stripes, this GT500KR is also the only one to feature a unique glass roof, with its racing stripes etched directly into the glass.

Ford Motor Company and Shelby Automobiles partnered to build the GT500KR in 2008, marking the return of the "King of the Road" model for the first time in nearly 40 years.

After it was unveiled at the New York Auto Show in 2007, Ford and Shelby brought the very first example to the 2008 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction, where it was sold to benefit JDRF, with Carroll Shelby himself on the block to drop the hammer (he also signed the car's dash).

This GT500KR then returned to Barrett-Jackson for the 2015 Scottsdale Auction, where it was offered as part of the highly acclaimed Ron Pratte Collection.
