This 1964 Dodge Polara 330 HEMI factory lightweight drag car is powered by the second version of the Chrysler HEMI V8 engine that has a factory compression ratio of 12.5:1 and is fitted with Holley 4160 4-barrel carburetors.
The engine is a fully date-code-correct race HEMI built by Mopar Performance Specialist Mike Lopez.
The engine is hooked up to a Chrysler 727 TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission with a manual valve body that is shifted trough the push buttons on the dashboard.
This example has the lightweight option code 661, which specified that the front fenders, doors, hood, both bumpers and their brackets were fabricated from aluminum.
The car also has a correct single-bulge factory hood scoop and lightweight pieces of glass created specifically for Chrysler by Corning.
