Designed by Shelby American and produced by Ford, this GT500KR has all the high-performance features available at the time, including the 428ci V8 Ford Cobra Jet engine.
The 428 Cobra Jet produced a thunderous 335hp and developed 440 lbs/ft of torque.
The potent powerplant is connected to a Toploader 4-speed manual transmission and Traction-Lok limited-slip rear axle.
Power steering and power front disc brakes help keeps things in control.
