Commissioned by Carroll Shelby, the CSX 4000 Continuation Series was everything the legendary 427 Cobras are and more.
This example was built on the same line as CSX 3031, which was among the very few that were finished to Semi-Competition S/C specifications, and is finished in Guardsman Blue with white side pipe exhaust.
Built at Shelby American Las Vegas, this early car was the 21st Cobra sold to the public.
It's rolling chassis was completed April 23, 1997, and its 428ci SCJ V8 engine was built by noted engine builder, Stan Johnson of Ford Powertrain Puyallup, WA.
The engine is equipped with a fully balanced rotating assembly with resized LeMans rods, aluminum Cobra Jet heads by Bliss, Blue Thunder aluminum intake with correct Holley 780 carburetor with Turkey Baster, and sends power through a Toploader 4-speed manual transmission with 3.54 Dana rear end.
